I need to spend even more time offline. As a rule, I try to spend most of the weekend offline and schedule a post or two in advance. For some reason I’m still adjusting to CST and getting up waaaay to early and doing TopRank vanity searches of all things. Here are a few of those shameful links from this am:
Chitika Blog Bash started today with Chris Pirillo’s post, “10 Tech Secrets of an Earlier Adopter Tech Entreprenuer“. “30 days and 30 expert bloggers” says the promo copy. Other bloggers scheduled to contribute include Darren Rowse, Aaron Wall, Chris Batty from Gizmodo and myself.
Jaffe Juice is running a Final Four inspired blog popularity survey. Starting with 32 blogs including the very fine Pronet Advertising as well as Top Rank Blog (as people insist on calling it – can’t they read the “Online Marketing Blog” title at the top of the page?), Seth Godin, Steve Rubel, etc it will be narrowed down to 16 and finally to 4. The initial pairings are woefully lame and clearly intended for a particular outcome. Sweet 16 pairings will be up later tonight. I hope Pronet makes it so we can rally up some vote love!
Kineda has come up with another Technorati based widget, Blog Fight. Go ahead and pit your 2 favorite bloggers against each other based on Technorati links. SEOmoz spanks OMB by a third. Ah, the foresight and regret of having (or in our case not having) a blog on the same URL as the web site for link focus will never be forgotten by this blog’s owner. OMB fares much better against Marketing Pilgrim, but with all the buzz Andy and his blogging crew are making, it may not be for long. Hey, where can I get a blogging crew? 🙂
Pete G is conducting light interviews of one blogger per day at One Blog a Day. I was interviewed yesterday joining the likes of John Chow and Jeremy Shoemaker.
