Our own Claire Luinstra has recently been promoted to account director at TopRank Marketing, and we caught up with her to get an inside look at what she’s looking forward to, advice for up-and-coming B2B marketers, and more.

Q: What do you like the most about working at TopRank Marketing?
Claire: We have such a great team – the people are hardworking, smart and can create amazing work for our clients. I have the ability to work with great clients also!
Q: What’s changed the most since you began working here?
Claire: The growth we’ve seen over the past years has been something that’s been really exciting to witness. From the amount of work the team puts out to the ever-growing number of clients – and of course the expansion of our workforce! We’ve brought in some absolutely amazing talent over the years. We also have really grown in our vision for the future – the leadership at TopRank has done a great job of this.
Q: What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?
Claire: The additional responsibility and challenges that come with co-leading our talented account team.
Q: Do you have any advice to share for other marketers looking to advance their careers or make the biggest difference in their current role?
Claire: For advancing your career, it’s really key to have a clear vision about where you want to go. You’ll win at what you focus on. As far as making an impact in your current role – having an attitude of constantly wanting to learn more and serving the greater team and agency are important.
Q: What’s your favorite outdoor activity on a perfect summer day?
Claire: Brunch followed by a day out on the water with my husband and friends.
Q: What’s your favorite dessert?
Claire: Anything with chocolate — cookies, cookie dough, chocolate mouse, or ice cream.
